America is increasing the number of military troops in the Middle East.

The United States has gradually increased its troop presence in the Middle East over the past year, deploying about 40,000 troops, several warships and fighter jets to protect allies and prevent possible attacks.

The conflict between Israel and Hezbollah has intensified this week, raising fears of a possible escalation in hostilities even as Israel continues operations against Hamas in the Palestinian Authority.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant announced a “new phase” in the war against Hezbollah and the resumption of active operations on the northern front in Lebanon after consultations with US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin.
