Lufthansa has suspended five routes to and from the Lebanese capital until July 30 due to the possibility of a full-scale war between Israel and Hezbollah. Other airlines have also canceled their flights to Beirut due to conflict fears, including Turkish Airlines, Aegean Airlines, Ethiopian Air and Middle East Airlines. The US State Department has also urged travelers to reconsider their travel plans to Lebanon.

On July 27, a strike on the Golan Heights killed 12 children and teenagers and wounded dozens more. Israel blamed Hezbollah and responded with strikes in Lebanon, targeting the group's targets inside the country. The situation in the Middle East region is becoming increasingly tense due to the possibility of war between the parties.
