IDF for Ukrainian Teenagers: Free Project “We Are Together!” Launches in Haifa
The “We Are Together!” project prepares teenagers for service in the Israeli army
The Ukrainian Cultural and Educational Center “We Are Together!” in Haifa is launching a series of three meetings dedicated to preparing for service in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). The project is aimed at teenagers aged 15 and older and their parents — repatriates from Ukraine who want to understand in advance what awaits future conscripts.
The organizers emphasize: service in the IDF is not only a duty, but also an opportunity for social integration, professional development, and personal growth.

Who is organizing it?
The “We Are Together!” Center is an independent initiative created to support Ukrainian repatriates in Israel. The center holds educational and cultural events, helps young people adapt, and assists parents in navigating the new system.
The project is implemented with the support of Israeli Friends of Ukraine, a community that promotes the development of ties between the two nations and mutual aid in times of war and transition.
NAnews – Israel Newsgthening the dialogue between Israelis of Ukrainian origin and the Jewish state. We believe such programs help build bridges of understanding, especially among youth.
Why is this important?
For repatriates from Ukraine, the topic of military service often raises concerns and questions:
- Where will their children serve?
- Can the choice of unit be influenced?
- What benefits or specific conditions apply to those not born in Israel?
All of these questions will be addressed by professionals during the meetings. It’s important to know that both boys and girls serve in the Israeli army, and the choice of specialty and service location impacts future education and career opportunities.
NAnews Commentary
The editorial team of NAnews – Israel News emphasizes that participating in such projects is not just about gaining information — it’s about support that is especially valuable for teenagers and their parents in a new country.
Through such educational initiatives, integration, understanding, and mutual respect between Ukrainian repatriates and Israeli society are fostered.
The “We Are Together!” project is further proof that Israel and Ukraine can move forward side by side, especially when it comes to the future of young people.
“Don’t miss this — it’s truly important for your children and for you!” — the organizers encourage.
