The Parliamentary Committee on Legislation, Law and Justice has approved a bill that prohibits the opening of new consulates of foreign countries in Jerusalem. The law would provide a reward for opening embassies in the Israeli capital and prohibit the opening of consulates, given that most countries do not recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and place their embassies in Tel Aviv.

Currently, there are five embassies in Jerusalem, including the United States, Guatemala, Honduras, Kosovo and Papua New Guinea. The adoption of this law will help Israel cope with international pressure not to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and will prevent the opening of consular offices in the capital that serve the Palestinians.

The introduction of this law will help strengthen Jerusalem's position as the Israeli capital and provide protection from international pressure. The approval of this bill will strengthen Israel's position on the world stage and help preserve the unity and integrity of the country.
