9 UN employees may have been involved in Hamas attack on Israel on October 7 – UN

The Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, killed 1,200 people. At least nine employees of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) may have taken part in the attack.

This information was presented by UN Deputy Spokesman Farhan Haq. Israel accused about 190 UNRWA workers of links to terrorist groups in the Gaza Strip. The difficult humanitarian situation in the region led to the suspension of funding for this organization, but some countries have resumed it.
