A tragedy involving journalists occurred in Kramatorsk when two employees of the Ukrainian TV channel “Freedom” were killed and one was injured as a result of a strike by the Russian UAV “Lancet.” This terrorist attack took place at a gas station where the journalists were in a vehicle.
Injured Journalists and Their Work
According to the head of the Donetsk region military administration, Vadym Filashkin, correspondent Alena Gramova (Gubanova) and cameraman Yevhen Karmazin were killed. Special correspondent Oleksandr Kolychev, who was injured, was taken to the hospital.
Alena Gramova was 43 years old, and Yevhen Karmazin was 33 years old.
Vladimir Filashkin noted that from the first days of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, these journalists covered the difficult situation in the region. They were able to tell the truth, touching on topics of enemy crimes and the evacuation of civilians. Most often, they found themselves in the hottest spots of Donbas, always first at the scene.
