48 citizens of Ukraine, including 14 women and 16 children, as well as 9 Palestinians, left Gaza accompanied by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The plane with the evacuees landed in Chisinau, from where they will continue their journey to their native lands.
The evacuation took place amid protests. Two evacuees, a 26-year-old Ukrainian and a 58-year-old Palestinian, were found to have injuries. Medical specialists from the Main Intelligence Directorate provided them with the necessary assistance. This was reported on September 30, 2025, citing Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha on social network X and the Main Intelligence Directorate in Telegram.
Sybiha expressed gratitude to Israel, Jordan, and Moldova for their support in organizing the process.
Development by the Main Intelligence Directorate
The intelligence noted that the evacuation operation was extremely difficult due to the sharply deteriorating security situation in the region.
It is planned that the evacuees will return home from Chisinau using bus transport.
One of the evacuees, Lyudmila, managed to share her story. She recounted that for the past month and a half, her family had been living in tents after an explosion destroyed their home.
“I thank Ukraine, our President Volodymyr Zelensky, the Main Intelligence Directorate, and everyone who contributed to our rescue. They saved our lives,” the woman noted.
Conflict in Gaza
Active hostilities in the Gaza territory resumed several weeks ago when Israel launched an offensive on the enclave’s largest city.
In the afternoon of September 29, 2025, US President Donald Trump presented a peace plan for the Gaza Strip consisting of 20 points. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreed to its implementation.
Now the fate of the situation depends on the reaction of Hamas. Trump gave the militants 3-4 days to respond to the proposals, threatening a grim outcome in case of refusal.
