The “Coalition of the Willing” summit left many reflections on the future of international relations and the role of allies in the context of current conflicts. Discussions focused on the necessary steps for more effectively finding true allies.

Need for Allies

The question of transitioning from fruitless cohesion to the concrete search for real allies becomes extremely relevant. Russia already has like-minded partners, among which North Korea should be highlighted, actively sending its Armed Forces to the front. This shows how important a defense treaty is with those who not only formally support but truly participate in combat actions on Ukraine’s side. The USA, Japan, and the United Kingdom could become allies.

If Ukraine’s future is comparable to Israel’s fate, the presence of real allies will become absolutely necessary. It is difficult to call Macron or Merz full-fledged allies. Rather, they are fellow travelers on this difficult journey. One should not forget Merz’s statements about the possibility of transferring “Taurus” to Ukraine; the emphasized absence of such assistance illustrates the complexity of the situation.

Difference in Interpretation of Guarantees

Discussions about the definition of “guarantees” also raise questions. There is often mention of “guarantees after the end of hostilities” or “after the establishment of peace.” Those who formulate such ideas face an important question: how long to wait for the result? After all, seeking agreement in national parliaments may not always lead to the immediate signing of necessary documents.

Some countries openly declare that they do not intend to fight on Ukraine’s side. This further complicates the situation, as the need for action is already evident. Thus, against the backdrop of electoral cycles, there is an erosion of common sense, casting doubt on hopes for a quick resolution of the aforementioned issues.

Heterogeneity of Europe

The overall situation in Europe also remains challenging. The division into outright accomplices of Russia, peace supporters, and those who support Ukraine creates noticeable diversity of opinions. Despite high expectations, the position on the need for Ukraine’s complete victory often remains outside the discussion, which is sometimes alarming.

Responsibility of Actions

In fact, what is being done today does not provide a clear answer to the question of whether these actions stop Putin at present. Unfortunately, the answer is negative.

Ukraine’s subjectivity is manifested through its Armed Forces. The rest depends on the heads, their wisdom in current conditions, which, unfortunately, plays a significant role in ensuring both internal and external fronts.

Obviousness of the Scenario

The scenario of Russia’s actions and their consequences is gradually becoming clear. The prospects resemble the Korean conflict, where it took a long time before the parties managed to reach a supposedly peaceful agreement.
