The IDF confirms the elimination of the mayor of Dir al-Balah, Hamas terrorist Imad Jarou.

According to the press service of the Israel Defense Forces, Israeli Air Force planes carried out an operation to eliminate a Hamas militant named Imad Jarou. This terrorist held important positions in Palestinian refugee camps and was an active member of Hamas, located in a municipal building used to plan terrorist attacks.

Imad Jarou was actively involved in Hamas activities and supported the militants in their attacks against Israeli security forces. Pre-operation measures were taken to protect civilians, including the use of precision weapons and additional intelligence information.

Earlier in the day, the Israeli military destroyed the municipal building in Dir al-Balah, killing the mayor of that city and several others. This incident caused tension in the region and led to new confrontations between Israelis and Palestinians.
