The White Helmets are trying to find prisoners of the Syrian regime and demand pressure on Moscow and Assad

The humanitarian organization White Helmets has asked Russia to help find secret prisons of the former regime in Syria. They demand UN assistance to obtain maps and lists of detainees. The head of the organization emphasized that this is the first step towards justice and peace after Assad’s terrible crimes.

The rebels offered a reward and security guarantee for information about the secret prisons. They recently took control of the Human Slaughterhouse prison, where thousands of people were tortured. The White Helmets are looking for underground chambers, but have not yet found anything; they are sure that they exist.

Russia considers the White Helmets organization provocateurs and does not intend to help them. Revealing the location of the prisons means exposing new horrors of the Assad regime, which is not part of the plans of the Russian authorities.
