After the Amnesty report, the US supported Israel, but with conditions

The US State Department rejected the Amnesty International report on the genocide of the population of Gaza by Israel. A State Department deputy spokesman said such accusations had “no merit” and were not consistent with them. At the same time, he emphasized his continued concern about the humanitarian situation in Gaza.

The report “Israeli genocide of Palestinians in Gaza” was published by human rights activists Amnesty. They claim that Israel has made life hell for Palestinians since the Hamas attacks in October 2023. In response, Israeli authorities called the report “false” and accused the organization of anti-Israel propaganda.

Amnesty has also previously accused Israel of apartheid policies. In 2022, they pointed to restrictions on Palestinian rights, violence against protesters, and decisions that impede equal rights. The organization is accused of spreading false information and anti-Israel positions.
