The Podlet-K1 radar is one of the newest Russian radars, which appeared in service with the Russian Armed Forces in 2015. According to IDF officer Yigal Levin, this radar is designed to work with the S-300/S-400 air defense system. The Syrian militia has already captured hundreds of trophies, including tanks, vehicles, installations and other military equipment.
The Podlet-K1 mobile three-dimensional radar was developed by the Russian air defense concern Almaz-Antey and is designed to detect aerodynamic targets at low and extremely low altitudes in difficult conditions. Detection is possible at a distance of up to 300 km and at an altitude of up to 10 km.
