Five European airlines have extended their suspension of flights to and from Israel

Lufthansa has announced the extension of the suspension of flights to and from Israel until January 31, 2025 due to military operations in the Gaza Strip. The time-out applies to all airline subsidiaries of the concern, giving passengers the opportunity to rebook tickets for other dates free of charge or receive a full refund.

Previously, Lufthansa flights were suspended until December 15. However, the company was fined a record $4 million for discriminating against Jewish passengers. The incident occurred in May 2022, when 128 Jewish passengers were denied boarding due to “alleged inappropriate behavior by several individuals.”

This news underscores the seriousness of the situation in the region and the importance of taking appropriate measures to ensure safety and compliance with non-discrimination laws in air travel.
