Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad has used his elite Tiger Force special forces in an attempt to stop the militia's advance. The opposition group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham has encountered difficulties in its attempt to capture the city of Hama in the west of the country.
Assad's forces put up serious resistance. The stoppage of the offensive is due to the appearance of Assad’s elite special forces, the Tiger Forces, on the battlefield. The Syrian Arab Army was able to stop the rebels and regain control of settlements near the city of Hama. This task was carried out by the Tiger Forces, Assad’s only combat-ready unit.
The group cannot hold the entire front, and without it the militia movement cannot be stopped. Assad promised to protect every piece of Syrian land with the help of Russia and Iran. Putin did not publish the meeting with Assad due to political expediency. Moscow plans to transfer additional combat aircraft to Syria.
Putin wanted to take Kyiv in three days, but surrendered Aleppo in two. In Damascus, shooting was heard between Assad's troops, which could have been an attempt at a coup.
