Hamas demands an end to the war and the Mossad does not believe in successful negotiations for the release of hostages

Mossad chief David Barnea met with the families of the hostages and said that the chances of concluding a deal were slim. Israeli television channel 12 broadcast this information.

Barnea cited the Hamas terrorist group's insistence on ending the war as the reason for this assessment, as well as the lack of a mandate from the prime minister for the negotiating team to move towards a comprehensive deal.

On October 27, the head of the Mossad visited Qatar to discuss possible parameters for negotiations on the release of hostages held in the Gaza Strip. The meeting was also attended by the head of the CIA and the Prime Minister of Qatar.
