After the closing of polling stations for the parliamentary elections in Georgia, the Imedi television company and the Formula and Mtavari channels announced the results of exit polls, Georgian media reported. According to exit polls from Edison Research for TV Formula, Georgian Dream received 40.9%, while the pro-Western opposition received 51.9%.
Harrys X's results for TV Mtavari differ, with Georgian Dream at 42% and Coalition for Change at 18%. At the same time, exipol data from Gorbi at 18:00 shows the victory of the Georgian Dream with 56.1%. According to the Georgian Central Election Commission, voter turnout in the elections was 50.6%.
18 entities are participating in the elections, including the ruling Georgian Dream party and opposition forces. 111 local and 76 international observers have been invited to the elections. 150 deputies should be elected to the Georgian parliament.
