No one is sure of the strength or danger of North Korean soldiers, since they have not seen combat in more than 70 years. According to intelligence data, the North Korean military may begin hostilities before the end of October. However, it is not yet known in which direction they will reinforce the front.
Former SBU employee Ivan Stupak said that among the soldiers whom Kim Jong-un sent to kill Ukrainians on Putin’s instructions there may be special forces. Nobody knows what they really are, since they haven’t seen them in action for a long time. Stupak is not convinced that the North Koreans can change the course of the war in Russia's favor, but in large numbers they could create problems.
According to the expert, it is unclear in which sector of the front the DPRK military may be involved. Their use may be limited. There is a possibility that Putin will use them as he pleases, perhaps only on Russian territory.
Stupak suggests that the whole story with the military contingent from the DPRK may be part of a political game and a demonstration of force. He believes that in the absence of a tough response from the United States and Europe, North Korea may send even more of its military to Russia and continue to conduct missile tests.
Let us recall that South Korea announced the sending of three thousand military personnel from the DPRK to participate in the war against Ukraine, but the exact number is unknown.
