Strengthening Iran's relations with Russia is considered a threat to international security, according to the United States.

Due to the close ties between states, destabilization is possible not only in the Middle East, but also in the world as a whole. This was stated by State Department spokesman Matthew Miller.

He noted that deepening ties between Russia and Iran could seriously affect the situation in the region and world politics in general. It is important to note that Iran did not notify the US of the strike on Israel a week ago, which raised concerns at the State Department. There were reports that Iran reported this to Russia, which also caused a negative reaction from the Americans.

The State Department representative emphasized that the participation of Iran’s “friends” – Russia and China – in conflicts in different regions could significantly complicate the international situation. Deepening ties between Iran and Russia are seen as a potential source of destabilization that could affect not only the Middle East, but also other regions where both states are active.
