Report: Israel Leads World in Suicide Drone Supply

A study by Molly Campbell at the Center for a New American Security found that Israel has been the leading supplier of unmanned kamikaze drones for the past 18 years. Demand for military drones is growing globally, and Israel has become the leading supplier, while Turkey dominates the production and sale of attack drones, which deploy weapons to strike targets.

Turkey entered the attack drone market in 2018 and has delivered more drones than any other country in recent years. The largest buyers of attack drones during this period were the United Kingdom, Nigeria, the United Arab Emirates, Algeria, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

The Russian-Ukrainian war has boosted demand for drones, with Kyiv making heavy use of Bayraktar TB2 drones. In this context, Israel remains the leader in the supply of suicide drones, although Iran, the US and other countries are also active in this market.
