The head of the Polish Foreign Ministry declared the need to shoot down Russian missiles entering the country's airspace. He noted that for Poland this is a constitutional obligation and self-defense, despite NATO's concerns. However, the alliance warned of possible consequences for the entire union.
Polish military recorded cases of Russian missiles crossing the border and launched towards Ukraine. Debris from military installations was found near the borders. Ukrainian authorities asked for support from Western countries, including Poland, in shooting down Russian missiles and drones. NATO Secretary General stressed that the alliance would not enter into the conflict.
In November 2022, rocket debris fell in Poland, killing two farmers. The investigation concluded that the missile was fired by Ukrainian air defense. Russian aggression and conflict in the region continue to raise concerns and require active measures from the international community.
