According to the press service of the Israeli Prime Minister's Office, Benjamin Netanyahu received no warning about the planned Hamas attack, which took place on October 7. However, opposition leader Yair Lapid said that Netanyahu was warned about a possible attack on Western Negev settlements, but ignored this information.
In response to Lapid's accusations that Netanyahu was warned, the prime minister's office said there was no warning a month or an hour before the attack. They also noted that Israel had many problems during Lapid's tenure, including the arrival of thousands of Palestinians from Gaza and the deal to hand over gas fields to Nasrallah.
