Ambassador of Israel to Ukraine Michael Brodsky told On August 25, 2024, on Ukraine's Independence Day, Prime Minister Netanyahu sent a congratulatory message to President Zelensky:
“Since the 90s, Ukraine and Israel have had warm relations in various spheres. It is in our interests to further develop these ties and build bridges that will bring our countries even closer.
Ukraine and Israel find themselves in a difficult war. Too many Ukrainian and Israeli families have faced the pain of losing loved ones. We stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine and respect their desire to defend their country.
Despite the regional challenges facing our countries, Ukraine and Israel remain free and democratic countries, striving to build a future based on progress and innovation. I am confident that better times will come for our countries, and stability will be restored in our regions.
On the Independence Day of your country, I wish the people of Ukraine peace, success and prosperity.”
