Around twenty airlines have temporarily suspended operations in Israel, three of which have announced extensions to flight cancellations. Among them, Swiss International Air Lines stands out, having independently extended its flight cancellations, separate from the Lufthansa Group decision. Swiss said all flights to and from Israel would be cancelled until August 16, marking the first time an airline has acted independently of its parent group regarding flight cancellations.

In addition to Swiss, Romanian carrier Tarom has also extended its flight cancellations to Israel until August 15, and airBaltic has suspended all its flights to Israel until August 18. Other airlines in the Lufthansa Group, such as Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines and Eurowings, are expected to announce their decisions regarding flights to Israel later this week.

Despite the cancellations, several international airlines continue to operate flights to and from Israel, including Air France, British Airways, TUS Air, Bluebird, Corendon Europe, Transavia France, Air Seychelles, Flydubai and Etihad. As a result of the situation, travel to the Americas, Asia and Europe has become difficult, and Israeli travelers continue to face significant disruptions.
